You’ve heard. People talk about them. But what are they?
It’s simply taking the prospect in a direction that isn’t anticipated.
For example, most people open their cold calls the same exact way:
“Hey John, this is Jason with Blissful Prospecting. My company…”
“Hey John, this is Jason with Blissful Prospecting. How’s your day going?”
“Hey John, this is Jason with Blissful Prospecting. Did I catch you at a bad time?”
All of those openers sound exactly like sales call.

A way that acknowledges that you’re an interruption, and gets them to opt-in to hearing why you called.
“I appreciate I’m an interruption. But have you got 35 seconds to tell you why I called this morning?”
