Those are the three questions every prospect has when they pick up a cold call.

Your job is to tackle all three parts within the first 5-10 seconds of your cold call.

Here’s the cold call opener Nick Cegelski uses:

“Hi [first name], this is Nick with ABC Company. I know you didn’t expect me to call you today. Do you mind if I take one minute? I’ll tell you why I’m calling and you can let me know if it makes sense to keep chatting?”

When the prospect gives you permission, thank them.

“Thank you [first name].”

Then share the reason for your call.
